Swell – Illustration Friday

August 14, 2011

My submission for this week’s topic: “swell”. I was inspired by the quote sent along with the theme: “Some days you must learn a great deal. But you should also have days when you allow what is already in you to swell up and touch everything. If you never let that happen, then you just accumulate facts, and they begin to rattle around inside of you.” ~ E.L. Konigsburg. It made me think of a flower absorbing everything it can from the soil. and allowing it to swell up. Enjoy!

Leaves

October 28, 2010

The weather is so cloudy today, heavy showers are expected tonight: a typical automn day. Made me think of this visual I did a while ago. The leaves were silkscreened on a piece of cloth. I think they would look really nice printed on a dress or a T-shirt, or in the inside of a bag for example.

Embroidery

I’ve started working on this embroidered flower a couple of days ago. I am posting some pictures of the process and I present to you my first clutch! : )

Jewelry

July 9, 2010

The jewelry is finally done! : ) I picked one of each. I’m so excited. I love them : ) You can choose which pendent to put in your necklace or bracelet (see picture): each big circle in the chain opens and closes very easily. The animals are the ones I created for the items of the museum exhibition (see posts below: Thyssen exhibtion and products on the shelves).
